Nature Treasure Hunt vs Scavenger Hunt

Happy March! This newest blog installment details the difference between two of our most popular party formats: the treasure hunt and the scavenger hunt, so you can be sure to pick the right format for you!

Nature Treasure Hunt

The nature treasure hunt is our flagship format. Perfect for sparking curiosity, teamwork and imagination, all whilst grabbing buckets of fresh air!

We lead our young hunters on a special adventure through natural woodlands, following a treasure map, all the while hunting out treasure chests filled with loot! Each child carries their own treasure bag, collecting the loot as they go, all of which they are able to take home at the end of the party (a fab alternative to a party bag to relieve you of even more hassle). Treasure can range from anything like bouncy balls and bubbles, to bracelets, rings, figurine toys and more!

Additional elements of the fun-filled package include face-painting, tattoos, balloon modelling, party games (including pass the parcel and musical statues), food, cake and a group photo!

Of course, nothing is perfect and the treasure hunt format has its limitations. Due to its outdoor nature, weather is sometimes a factor (though it takes a lot of stop us!). However, should weather ever be an issue, we’ve always got enough surprises up our sleeves to continue the party. Due to the nature of the treasure hunt, the venue for this format needs specific requirements. We have some perfect venues for this package, ranging from Gillespie Park to the beautiful Palm House at Welsh Harp, complete with real-life turtles for added excitement!

This party is best suited to 3-8 year olds. See our website for more details on venues or get in contact with us to discuss!

Scavenger Hunt

Our scavenger hunt format has many similarities to the treasure hunt. It includes all the same additional features: face-painting, tattoos, balloon modelling, party games (including pass the parcel and musical statues), food, cake and a group photo! But instead of a treasure hunt outdoors, we provide a scavenger hunt for magic stars scattered around the venue. Children are encouraged, following storytime, to locate stars and bring them back to stick on a chart, with of course lots of prizes to go around for their efforts!

The hunt, due to its nature, takes less time than the outdoor treasure hunt package, leaving us with plenty of time to play even more games! The hunt itself incorporates the same principles as the treasure hunt, encouraging curiosity, teamwork and imagination.

The package is adaptable to an even wider age range, with children aged anywhere between 1 and 8 being well suited, as well as mixed-age groups being welcome. And we can host this format in any venue making it perfect if you are seeking an adaptable yet reliable format!

As always, we can adapt to any theme! Be sure to get in contact with us to discuss your wants and requirements for your party. We can’t wait to build your package!
